You can utilize feathers anywhere on a quilt: in your sashing, in your borders, or free-floating in a block. Become the envy of the quilt show with your new found skill of mastering feathers. Heidi will break down the basic structure of the feather. Her technique makes it so simple you’ll wonder why you didn’t try feathers sooner.
In this intermediate class you will learn how to:
- Create feathers that curl and cluster
- Stitch feathers on an inside corner and an outside corner.
- Stitch a feathered wreath.
Heidi has a 100% success rate with her students when it comes to teaching feathers. This is her ultimate specialty.
PREREQUISITE: HEIDI’S BASIC FEATHER ANATOMY CLASS.
More about Instructor Heidi Stagno: Heidi first saw a longarm quilting machine while visiting a quilt shop. At that moment, she was hooked. “I just wanted to get my hands on that machine and drive it”. Heidi has been professionally longarm quilting for 20 years. She has quilted over 3000 quilts and counting. She has won many awards for her quilting and loves teaching others her techniques. Heidi has appeared on “Quilt it” the longarm quilting show on QNN tv and has won the Handi-Quilter Way Award for the last three years consecutively. We are excited to have her teaching at AVS!
