Designed for paper piecing

Less repositioning. More precise trimming.

The Add-A-Quarter combines a straight cutting edge with a raised quarter-inch lip, helping you position your ruler and trim the seam allowance without repeatedly measuring from the stitching line.

01

Built-In 1/4" Guide

The raised lip automatically adds a quarter-inch seam allowance along straight angles.

02

Straight Cutting Edge

Use the ruler as a straight edge when trimming with your rotary cutter.

03

Tapered Edge

The tapered edge helps fold back the foundation paper before trimming the fabric seam allowance.

04

Longer 18" Size

The extended length is especially useful when working with larger foundation paper-piecing sections.

One ruler. A simpler workflow.

Made to streamline your foundation piecing.

Instead of measuring a new quarter-inch allowance each time, use the ruler's built-in lip as your positioning guide before trimming.

1

Fold the foundation paper back along your stitching line.

2

Position the Add-A-Quarter so its raised lip rests against the folded edge.

3

Trim along the ruler edge to leave the standard 1/4" seam allowance.

A useful addition to your quilting tools

Reach for it on your next paper-pieced project.

Whether you're working through long foundation sections or piecing detailed blocks, the 18-inch Add-A-Quarter gives you a simple way to establish a consistent seam allowance while keeping your rotary-cutting workflow moving.
